It Was The Best of Times-- It Was The Worst of Times😅

Here's how it all went down
This being my first shipment of frozen food Ever, it turned out to be quite the experience🫣. I thought that I was well prepared, I wanted to cut costs as much as possible, and get the price of packaging and shipping down as much as possible. I thought "I'll just insulate the boxes my self" well that turned out to be much harder than I expected. By this time I had no other choice but to do it my self. As it turns out NO ONE, in Any town close to me, carries insulated boxes for shipping frozen food!! At least none that I could find🧐.

Sunday night I started getting all the orders ready, I made several mistakes there too, but I was able to correct them as best I could and finally got all the packages ready for dry ice in the morning.

I had Monday all set up for my ship out date, and because we are still in school and Monday is a school day, it took some maneuvering of our schedules so that I could get to town that day. I had to get dry ice, pack it into the boxes and then mail the boxes.

I had the timing all planned out so that the boxes would "for sure go out on Monday!! Thankfully my sister, came with me to help pack the dry ice and send the packages on their way... anyway we were about halfway through packing these boxes when I mentioned to the lady at the Fedex desk that "we just needed to get these in time for the Fedex pickup time". and she looks at me and says " Oh! Fedex already left for today" 😲my heart dropped to the floor for a minute there😵‍💫... In my rush to get everything done I hadn't noticed that the facility was for UPS AND Fedex, and I had looked at the wrong time we were 1/2 Hour to late...I think I went through all the stages of grieving during that hour drive home, Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance😌.

I had no one but myself to blame, so I got home and finished packing those boxes the very best I could with what I had(defiantly not the prettiest packaging), and printed those labels and put all the boxes packed and ready to go in the Deep Chest Freezer. Then early Tuesday morning my sister watched the kids for me and I got those boxes to town and took them to the Actual Fedex Warehouse. I left hoping and praying that the packaging would be enough, and they would make it to their destinations still frozen🙏.

My next shipment will be 100X better, I learned so much form this experience that all I can do is be grateful that now I know all the things NOT to do next time🥰.
