Last summer I got 2 Great Pyrenees Pups! They were the cutest little things, only about 2 lbs each ! The kids held them on their laps for the drive home, we named them Bob, and Larry. They were so much fun they loved my human kids and they loved my goat kids. Sadly we lost Larry to Parvo, so Bob is our only Livestock Guardian dog, and he just turned 6 months old in December.
Now He weighs in at a whooping 100lbs! Up until about 2 weeks ago he has done awesome at sticking with his goat herd, but maybe it's his teenage years but he has started wandering really bad,(I think he's just lonely without his brother) anyway he has adopted the entire Monteview valley as his herd and he likes to take a "walkabout" every chance he gets to check up on everyone.
Last Saturday I got a call from a neighbor saying He found a big white dog, so I want to fetch him. When I get there, the neighbors 5 year old daughter comes out and says to me "We were just Keeping a little eye on Bob for you!" then she wraps her arms around his neck "See you next time Bob!" She says. I'm standing there thinking "Next Time? How many times has he been here?" haha I'm just glad he's such a nice dog! There are some neighbors who don't appreciate his "Protective Services" though so I have to do my best to keep him with his designated herd.
